Complementary Techniques (Portland)
Complementary Techniques is a Wellspring School student class favorite. Learn various complementary and effective adjunct therapies including the use of ear seeds for Auricular Therapy, Moxabustion, Fire Cupping and Gua Sha. Indications and contraindications are covered. This is a hands-on class, plenty of practice time will be provided. In addition, participants will receive information on the history of each technique, safety precautions, materials required for each and resources. The workshop is open to existing Massage Therapists,
Complementary Techniques (Boise)
In this 15-hour class series/workshop, students learn various complementary therapies including Moxabustion, Fire Cupping and Gua Sha. Indications and contraindications are covered. Students also learn about auricular therapy, the use of ear seeds, TDP lamps, liniments and more. This class is open to current Amma students, existing practitioners, bodyworkers, etc. interested in learning these for the first time, brushing up as a review and as continuing education. This class is eligible for 13 class hour CEUs.
Wholistic Nutrition I & II Weekend Workshops (Boise)
Lunch and snacks provided both days, both weekends. As part of the Wholistic Nutrition Program curriculum, these classes are also open to the public and serve as great refreshers for working practitioners as well as the layperson who wants to learn more about whole foods nutrition for themselves and their families. The course emphasizes the importance of wholistic versus reductionist approach and draws from both Eastern (TCM) and Western traditions to provide the student with a holistic view on eating for lasting health and vitality.
Return to Kidney Qigong (Boise)
Develop greater kinesthetic awareness, strength, balance, and focus. Students learn several forms each with specific skills and benefits throughout the program.
Classes begin on Friday, November 12th, 2010 and end March 25th, 2011 and will be held on the following Fridays:
