Starting next week, we are welcoming a new guest class series to our space here at The Wellspring School for Healing Arts. Below are the individual class descriptions, contributed by the Nourishing Essentials team. You can RSVP for each class via their Facebook group.

Gut Health and Essential Oils: September 23, 6-8pm

Do you or someone you know struggle with digestive distress on a daily basis? You are not alone! Bloating, cramping, nausea, indigestion, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea- one or more of these is an everyday reality for many people. Essential oils are pure and powerful substances that work with your body to bring it back to health rather than simply masking symptoms. Topics to be discussed include: the gut microbiome, leaky gut, antibiotics, SIBO, Candida, fermented foods, and relevant research.

Respiratory Health and Essential Oils: October 21, 6:30-8:30 pm

As pollution increases and air quality decreases, the health of our lungs is a concern. Asthma, Allergies, COPD, RSV, and Bronchitis along with all other respiratory problems are on the rise. We all face these respiratory issues, whether by exposure to the common cold, the dreaded Flu or to seasonal allergies. Essential oils have the ability to work directly with the lung tissue to relieve respiratory stress and allow for healing. In this class, these respiratory issues will be addressed and we will explore how essential oils have been found to benefit overall respiratory health. Please join us and let’s explore some new ways to help us all breathe a little easier!

Addiction and Recovery with Essential Oils: November 18, 6:30-8:30pm

In a world full of stressful deadlines and high expectations, we all have our own way to cope. When we feel as though we have lost control, often the easiest thing to do is to numb that uncomfortable feeling. Alternatively, some may desperately grasp for control in any way they can. In the class we will discuss self care with essential oils for addiction to food, exercise, control in relationships, nicotine, addiction to a sedentary lifestyle, to work, and to caffeine. The consequences of resolving to change a negative habit such as withdrawal, cravings, and anxiety will also be touched upon.

Essential Holiday Gifts: December 2, 6:30-9pm

Share the gift of wellness this holiday season with home made products made with Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade doTERRA Essential Oils! A unique variety will be available including candles, body care, and home essentials. Everything available will be made with love by members of the Oils to the Essential Rescue team. New Year, New You! Essential Empowerment: January 20, 6:30-8:30 pm

The new year comes with renewed motivation to take your health into your own hands! This class we will discuss how to use essential oils for detox, energy, weight loss and the emotional awareness for making major changes in your life. Pam is a certified personal trainer and will be discussing how to get motivated and moving. You will leave equipped with a kick start workout plan as well as some nutrition tips! We will be having a demo on how to make over your gym bag with essential oils as well as exploring oils to help with self love of the body and reducing body shame as you become a new you.

Emotional Wellness with Essential Oils: February 17, 6:30-8:30pm

Some people get the blues and some people are very depressed, but it our birth right to live a happy, healthy life. This class will address the chemical reactions that happen in our brain that make us feel the way we do. Serotonin? Dopamine? Cortisol? These all affect the way we feel and how live our daily lives. Our sense of smell is the most powerful of our five senses. Scents have the capacity to activate certain emotions because of the way chemicals are processed in the olfactory system and ultimately the emotional center of the brain. Aromatherapy using essential oils works with this pathway to calm the nerves, uplift the spirit, and facilitate emotional wellbeing.
