AMMA THERAPY PROGRAM

CHEN STYLE T'AI CHI CHUAN

Starts Saturday, July 17, 2010 (Boise) 8:30AM-9:30AM
This class is devoted to learning the 19-movement form of Chen T'ai Chi. This is a simplified form developed by Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang to serve as a powerful introduction to the ancient Chen style T'ai Chi Chuan. Chen style is characterized by spiral movements and combines soft, energetic flow with sharp, explosive power. Classes are ongoing, Saturday mornings 8:30AM-9:30AM beginning July 17th going through October. Class Cost: $12 drop-in or class cards available.

Allergies are a common problem and can be caused by various environmental and dietary factors as well as underlying constitutional considerations. For many they may be predictable yearly or seasonally. Learn how to prevent or reduce your susceptibility to allergies outside of over the counter allergy medications. This class briefly covers the causes and symptoms of allergies from a wholistic health perspective. The class focuses on what you can do at home to prevent or treat your allergies with simple remedies. These include: Foods to include or avoid, nasal cleansing, beneficial teas and simple herbal formulas, Qigong and self-massage techniques and what to do in "non-allergy" season. Handouts are provided. Cost of class: $40.00

ADDITIONAL TECHNIQUES FOR THE ASIAN BODYWORK THERAPIST

Students will learn a full basic Swedish massage. Additional Asian bodywork techniques for spine, neck, shoulders, hips, low back and chest will be practiced. Finally, the class will cover some visceral, organ, breast and groin work. This class is open to all bodywork therapists and is an excellent class to fulfill NCCAOM PDA and NCBTMB CE requirements.
AMMA THERAPY STUDENT CLINIC
Receive a supervised Amma Therapy treatment from students in their final semesters of
our 1,000-hour program. Treatments include: asian bodywork therapy, movement, dietary and herbal recommendations.

BUILDING A PRACTICE
This class is designed to teach the nuts and bolts of building a strong and successful practice. CHEN STYLE T'AI CHI CHUAN

This weekend workshop will begin Friday night with exercises in silk reeling and standing
post Qigong. These are developmental exercises for generating Qi and learning how to

EIGHT BROCADES QIGONG
Developed during the 12th century, Eight Brocades excels at strengthening the body, especially the back, legs, shoulders and neck while helping to balance vital functions and build the immunity. Each of the eight individual movements strengthens a specific Chinese Organ Channel. The form can be done as a series or practiced individually to focus on particular organs or body parts. Broaden your knowledge of Chinese Formulas in this class. Rylen will cover a wide selection of classic and patent formulas for a myriad of patterns and indications, as well as, formula categories (i.e. settle shen, treat bi syndrome, expel wind, etc.). This is an excellent class to fulfill NCCAOM PDA requirements.
JADE WOMAN QIGONG
Jade Woman is a healing qigong form that addresses the specific needs of a woman's body. It focuses on increasing the circulation of blood and energy while lifting the spirits and harmonizing the emotions. Practice of the form reduces symptoms of various gynecological disorders. Not limited to women this class is excellent for men with Liver qi stagnation, pent up frustration or emotions. $75

SHEN QIGONG AND QI DEVELOPEMENT

A series of 6 static standing postures and seated poses, this powerful form of qigong breaks up old perspectives allowing for new growth and viewpoints within the individual.
