Hands-on & community-minded: Our Wholistic Nutrition program.
You’ve heard us call our professional Wholistic Nutrition certification program “hands-on and community-minded” – and we mean it.
We strongly believe in training our students to be ready to apply their knowledge in the real world when they graduate, and we believe that community is an integral part of our wellbeing.
We thought we’d give you an insight into a recent project that puts these beliefs into actions. Earlier this month, four of our students created a mini health fair at the Northeast Community Center here in Portland. Below are some photos showing the engaging exhibits they put together to spark conversations about healthy nutrition for families. You can tell the kids were drawn to it!
Planning this health fair was a chance for the students to delve deeper into this specific aspect of holistic nutrition, to apply what they learned in real time, and to share their knowledge with their local community. Community service projects are an integral part of the additional requirements included in our Wholistic Nutrition Program.
Does that sound like the program you’ve been looking for? We still have a few open spots in our next program starting March 8th and 9th. Everything you need to apply is available on this page, and you are also welcome to contact us with questions.
The following program is tentatively scheduled for Winter 2015.
