Happy New Year! Welcome, Lauren Acker!
We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful holiday season. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to spend some quality downtime with our friends and family the last couple of weeks of December. 2014 was a fantastic year and we thank everyone for their support as we launched our second Amma program, graduated our second Wholistic Nutrition Program (WNP) group, started another WNP, rented out space for some incredible classes and hosted several workshops of our own. Yep. We needed the downtime!
Now it’s 2015 and we’ve hit the ground running. What’s in store for this year?
Well, for starters:
We began a new segment of classes for our Amma Group 1 (who will graduate this fall!) that includes an introduction to Chinese Herbs, Tai Chi, Additional Techniques and most exciting, Amma Student Clinic! Amma Student clinic starts January 28th and will run most Wednesdays through September 23rd. Go AG01!
Rylen kicked off a student favorite, Introduction to Wholistic Nutrition, this past week, with Amma Group 2 students and general public participants. Informative and yummy!
Rachael is busy getting all of the new Wholistic Nutrition Program Group 5 students (starting in February) registered before the end of the month.
Rylen and Michael are preparing for their Caring for Cancer class next weekend (January 24th & 25th).
And that’s just January!
To help us accomplish all of this and more for 2015, we are VERY excited to announce the staff addition of Lauren Acker as our new office assistant.
Lauren graduated from the Wholistic Nutrition Program Group 2 last year. She knows her way around the school and the programs. She will be a familiar face at the upcoming Amma Student Clinics, meeting and greeting clients and you can typically find her in the office Monday through Friday. Lauren brings enthusiasm and energy to our office along with a great smile and we are beyond thrilled to have her as part of The Wellspring School team. You can reach Lauren directly at email@example.com. Welcome, Lauren!!!
A bit more about Lauren:
Lauren, a native Michigander, is a proud resident of the PNW since 2013. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia in May of 2012 with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology & Anthropology. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Hood River, OR where she lived, worked, and played for two years while studying at The Wellspring School for Healing Arts.
As of September 2014, she is a Certified Wholistic Nutritionist. 2015 has brought an exciting opportunity to be The Wellspring School’s Office Assistant, and thus, a transition to “big city life” in Portland. During the Spring season, you can find Lauren out on the field coaching High School Lacrosse. When not working or coaching, she is often outside exploring; she is a lover of trails, mountains, lakes, rivers, and salty waves. Furry friends, a yoga mat, a good book, local coffee shops, her kitchen, and travels near and far are all on her “favorites” list too.
Lauren is thrilled to be a part of The Wellspring’s Team; don’t hesitate to say “hi” or ask her for help!
