New Depression & Anxiety Support Group starts July 1
On Tuesday July 1, author and mental health coach Douglas Bloch will be starting an ongoing depression and anxiety support group. The goal of this educational support group is to impart practical tools and coping strategies that will allow members to live optimally and to reduce their symptoms of anxiety, depression and other mood disorders.
In the groups, Douglas will present a holistic five-part “brain maintenance” program that people can use to stabilize their moods and achieve a high degree of emotional well-being. This will be done in a caring and supportive environment in which group members will be with others who are going through the same experience.
Studies have shown that experiencing social support has a positive effect on a person’s ability to heal from depression and other mood disorders and to remain well after an episode.

The group meets from 6:30 to 8:30 and a sliding scale fee is involved. For more information, go to http://www.healingfromdepression.com/portland-oregon-depression-support-groups.htm
