Erin has immersed herself in the world of alternative medicine since she was an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin — Madison. She believes in the power of natural medicine and a holistic view of the body. Erin is also a firm believer in the ability of natural medicine to compliment allopathic medicine.
After graduating from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2006 with a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Erin opened her private practice. She has also spent the past 5 years studying functional nutrition, and uses that knowledge to more thoroughly treat complicated cases.
Erin has been the owner and chief acupuncturist at Solstice Natural Health in downtown Portland since 2007. It is a general practice, but she specializes in the wonderfully complicated realm of women’s health, including fertility and prenatal care.
When not actively seeing patients, teaching, or working to grow her business, Erin wears the hats of wife, mother, and friend. With two little boys at home, Erin practices what she preaches in an effort to be able to keep herself healthy enough to run after them. She and her arborist husband love spending time gardening, hiking, and adventuring with friends in their SE Portland neighborhood.
