Wholistic Nutrition Program Community Fair – What a Great Event!
This is a really exciting time for us on the Wholistic Nutrition Program front. We have soon-to-graduate program students that hosted their community health fair this past Friday evening. The event was a smashing success. Attendees learned about fermentation, foods to balance hormones and hydration among other things.
Samples were definitely bountiful and evening favorites were green smoothies, homemade nutrition bars and coconut yogurt. And that wasn’t even the food table! The food table boasted watermelon, feta and basil skewers, cardamom truffles, strawberry rhubarb crisp bites, kale chips and more.
Attendees were really gracious in their feedback and loved the event. One of our favorite comments from the evening was,
“This was an excellent program/event. Thank you for sharing this information with the wider community. It was very useful and informative! And it was fun!”
Here are some pictures from the event:
Students had the opportunity to put their hard work to the test by engaging people on their respective topics. They walked away more confident and one step closer to their certification completion this fall.
Next up? Student clinics on August 16th & 17th and September 13th & 14th. Check out our classes page (insert link) for more information on how to book a session with students as part of their clinic experience. It’s donation based and a great way to both support our students as well as get relevant information tips and recommendations.
We still have two other nutrition groups going strong in addition to this soon-to-graduate group. The next program starts up February 7th, 2015. We will open registration for that program July 30th. Stay tuned!
It’s very exciting to see all this activity in the area of wholistic nutrition and we are very proud of our students!
